When replacing your compressor, please note that the A/C system  MUST be flushed and evacuated completely.  The old received drier and accumulator replaced.  Make sure the engine is not running hot.   Failure to do so will destroy the new compressor!

Remember!  Routine maintenance done to a working air conditioning system can make it Operate much longer than one which is not maintained.

If sending in a compressor for rebuilding.  Be sure you have a good core! 

What is a good core?

A good core is able to be rebuilt if it meets the following requirements.

bullet

The drive shaft must be able to give 6 or 7 revolutions
bullet

All wires must be attached

bullet   The complete clutch assembly is not bent or burnt and is attached
bullet

The compressor must not have been altered or taken apart.
